About
Sherr Consulting Services, LLC is a sole proprietorship founded and operated by Micah Sherr.
When not consulting, Micah serves as the Callahan Family Professor of Computer Science at Georgetown University. His academic expertise spans censorship and censorship-resistance, electronic voting, lawful intercept systems, and privacy-preserving technologies. He has contributed to two major evaluations of electronic voting systems in the U.S., helping to uncover and responsibly disclose critical architectural flaws. His ongoing research explores how totalitarian governments restrict online information access and develops technologies to circumvent such censorship.
Micah earned his B.S.E., M.S.E., and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award and has held leadership roles in several top-tier security and privacy conferences, including co-editor-in-chief of Proceedings on Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PoPETs) and associate chair of the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy. His C.V. is available on his academic webpage.
